Description

Key Role:
Serve as the CEV Ground Operations External Interface engineer at NASAs Johnson Space Center (JSC) or at Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in support of NASAs Orion Project and the Constellation Program. Perform technical and project integration for the Orion Operations and Integration office. Support the negotiation and coordination of Orion Systems Engineering agreements with the Ground Operations Project (GOP). Perform technical issue management that impacts Orion Baseline design, budget, or contract and serve as the Orion Point of Contact (POC) for Joint TIM negotiations to ensure decisions meet technical, cost, and schedule milestones. Work with requirements book managers and book developers to ensure requirements agreements are incorporated into the Orion to Ground Systems Interface Requirements Document and Interface Control Documents. Serve as the Orion POC and as a member of the Ground Operations Project boards and panels. Assist with coordinating Orion hardware requirements and delivery, including flight hardware, ground support equipment, test equipment, emulators, and simulators and operate as the Orion project lead POC for Joint Orion-GOP Bilateral Exchange Agreements (BEAs).Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

-7+ years of experience in aerospace systems engineering with at least 3 of those years in ground systems operations support and integration

-Ability to identify, prioritize, and perform trade studies

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BS degree in Aerospace Engineering, ME, Systems Engineering, EE, Physics, or Mathematics
